DESCRIPTION: Sodium PCA is a naturally occurring humectant found in the stratum corneum. It is part of the Natural Moisturizing Factor (NMF) composition (about 12%). It can be added to toners, sprints, serums, gels, lotions, creams, maskS, etc, to moisturise the skin and prevent dryness. It is used to treat dry, rough and damaged skin. It is also used in hair care. It has stronger humectant properties compared to glycerin and propanediol. It helps prevent fine lines and wrinkles. It helps fortify the skin’s barrier by enhancing its strength and resilience.
Sodium PCA is a non-comedogenic, mildness-promoting humectant. Non-irritating to the skin and the eyes. It pairs well with other ingredients such as Sodium Lactate, Hyaluronic acid, Lactic acid, Urea, amino acids and proteins. It works synergistically with these ingredients to keep the skin’s surface looking supple, hydrated, and healthy.
