DESCRIPTION: Cell-Life PQQ protects the skin from certain types of sunlight (UVA) that cause dark patches in dark skinned individuals. If the body does not have enough PQQ, the skin may become flaky and lose its elasticity and strength. PQQ helps keep the skin moist, smooth, and stretchy, and helps improve the skin’s barrier function. Most essentially, Cell-life PQQ supports the tiny powerhouses in cells (mitochondria – Mitochondria provide our cells with energy (ATP) and regulate cellular metabolism), which are important for cell health and growth. One of the reasons why it works so effectively is that it has easy access to proteins inside skin cells, compared to other antioxidants like astaxanthin and β-carotene which work mostly near the cell membrane. This helps the skin to renew itself faster.
