DESCRIPTION: Cocamidopropyl Betaine is a naturally derived amphoteric surfactant. It is an excellent conditioning agent for shampoos, hair conditioners and toiletry products. Biodegradable (derived from coconut oil), high foamer and mildness additive for harsh surfactants. It can also increase the thickness of salt-thickening surfactants, create great flash foam and helps stabilize foams and bubbles. It is zwitteronic – possesses a negative charge in an alkaline environment and a positive charge in acidic environments. Leaves a conditioned after-feel without product residue.
BENEFITS
- Reduces the irritating effect of other ingredients contained in cosmetic formulations
- Bio-based
- Good viscosity-raising properties
- Good skin compatibility
- Preservative-free
- Create clear products
- produces dense and stable foam in cleansing cosmetics
- Compatible with anionic, cationic and non-ionic surfactants and ingredients
- Very good thickening properties in a wide range of pH, water hardness levels and electrolytes
APPLICATIONS: Bubble baths, face cleansers, shower gels, shampoos, etc Can be used in products for babies and children and in non-rinse-off facial products like micellar waters.
