DESCRIPTION: Glyceryl Stearate is a 100% naturally-derived nonionic co-emulsifier. It is derived from glycerin and stearic acid. It can be used in both oil-in-water and water-in-oil emulsions and surfactant systems. It helps build lamellar structures providing good consistency and texture. It can also be used as a binder in non-aqueous systems like lipsticks and pressed powders.
It functions as a non-ionic opacifier, thickener and formulation stabilizer. It also imparts a softer, smoother feel to emulsions.
