DESCRIPTION: Snail Filtrate Extract is a concentrated extraction from the secretion of snails (therefore it is more concentrated than the filtrate). It is well known for its skin-soothing and regenerating properties. It also functions as an anti-cellulite and anti-stretchmark, anti-wrinkle, and pore tightening agent.

Components of snail filtrate include allantoin (skin calming and slightly keratolytic), elastin, collagen, glycolic acid (regenerating/exfoliating), mucopolysaccharides (hydration and protect skin from external aggressions) proteolytic enzymes that help with protease/anti-protease balance peptides, zinc, iron, manganese, and essential amino acids. It promotes skin regeneration and cellular turnover. It helps treat scars, stretch marks, and expression marks. It helps brighten the skin for a more uniform appearance. It is also said to possess natural anti-bacterial peptides beneficial in the treatment of acne. It helps in balancing the pH of the skin.

When a snail’s shell is damaged, it heals for itself by secreting mucus that contains a glycoprotein called ‘Mucin’.  Mucin is one of the components of skin, it helps skin tissues maintain moisture.

Appearance: Clear, yellowish liquid (This is an extracted and sterilized raw material, therefore it does not have a slimy appearance.)

Storage: Store in a cool, dark (away from direct sunlight), and dry place. Best refrigerated where possible.
