DESCRIPTION: Tea tree essential oil is derived from the steam distillation of the Melaleuca alternifolia leaves. It has been used historically for its antiseptic properties; It has anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties. It also has anti-inflammatory effects. Tea Tree Essential oil is particularly included in products designed to treat acne, although it has other uses. It is, however, very effective against acne. It promotes percutaneous penetration and can help other ingredients absorb better into the skin. In hair care, it helps promote hair growth, treats and prevents dandruff and other scalp problems
