DESCRITION: Carrot oil is a macerated oil of both the lipoid-soluble fraction of the carrot root and the seed oil in sunflower oil. Only fresh and vibrant carrots are used which ensures that they are rich in essential nutrients – especially beta carotene. The resulting oil is vibrant red with the natural colour of the carrot fruit. The beta carotene content (the compound that gives carrots their orange tone) gets converted to vitamin A within the skin and helps regenerate the skin.
Carrot seed oil is rich in carotenes, fatty acids, and vitamin A & E. It offers an anti-oxidant, anti-aging, emollient, softening, protecting, regenerating, repairing, and restoring benefit. It offers oxidative protection against free radical damage, skin smoothening, and skin barrier replenishing and protection. Its anti-inflammatory properties give it skin soothing benefits – suitable for dry and chapped skin conditions. In hair care, it treats dried itchy scalp and helps inhibit hair loss due to scalp irritation.
It is especially good in anti-ageing preparations because it helps improve wrinkles and the roughness of mature skin. It improves the skin’s radiance and shines.
