DESCRIPTION: Propanediol (aka 1,3, propanediol) is a natural solvent, humectant and antimicrobial agent. It also functions as an emollient and a hand-feel modifier. It offers excellent sensory characteristics, enhanced clarity, excellent cloud point and increased foaming. It also exhibits very good freeze/ thaw protection and heat stability. It is used to replace petroleum-based solvents like propylene glycol, and glycerin for their stickiness.
