DESCRIPTION: 5-in-1 Anti-Acne is a lipophilic active with clinical activity against acne-related issues. It prevents and treats acne on all five (5) cosmetic levels, namely 1) Sebum regulation, 2) Anti-inflammatory activity, 3) Regulates follicular keratinization, 4) Inhibiting Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation, and 5) Reducing proliferation of the acne-causing bacteria.
It reduces the lifespan of acne by preventing more additional sebaceous glands from entering the active acne cycle. Additionally, it inhibits the activation of inflammatory cells stimulated by the acne bacteria, thereby reducing overly aggressive inflammatory responses. It exhibits anti-bacterial activity against. Inhibits PIH from acne lesions. Studies show that this active ingredient has antibacterial properties and helps acne patients often have lower levels of linoleic acid in their skin, which makes the surface of the skin create a good ground-conducive environment for acne proliferation. 5-in-1 Anti-Acne replenishes the skin with this essential fatty acid. Furthermore, this ingredient lightens UV-induced pigmentation by promoting the degradation of the enzyme responsible for melanin production and inhibiting α-MSH-induced melanogenesis. It gives significant improvement in skin clarity, complexion, and spot reduction without affecting the surrounding areas.
Research
In a study involving 10 participants with mild acne, the active ingredient was applied at a concentration of 3% twice daily for 6 weeks. As a result, participants experienced a reduction in acne within 3 to 6 weeks, along with significant improvements in post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), a decrease in average pore size, and a reduction in pore count. By the sixth week, 50% of participants reported reduced erythema, over 60% noticed improvements in skin texture and appearance and reductions in both inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne.
Works synergistically with Niacinamide, Salicylic acid, Resveratrol, White-Curcumin, and other anti-acne actives.

Incompatibilities: Sodium Hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, aluminium hydroxide. If a neutraliser is needed, please use another, such as L-Arginine. (Avoid contact with iron and copper) The addition of a chelating agent (e.g. EDTA) to improve stability. The addition of Activ-Lipid Shield may also improve colour stability.
Temperature Tolerance: Avoid temperatures above 40°C
Appearance: Clear yellowish t0 amber coloured liquid.
Storage: Store in a cool, dark and dry place. Do not expose to sunlight.
