DESCRIPTION: Octocrylene is a sunscreen agent with protection from UVB and UVA wavelengths. UVA is knowns to accelerate skin ageing, while UVB causes sunburn. When added to formulations for UV protection, it absorbs UV rays, and can also help protect cosmetics from deterioration.
One of the biggest advantages of Octocrylene is its insensitivity to meal ions and its effectiveness over a wide range of pH values. It is an excellent solvent for solid and/or water-resistant sunscreens
