DESCRIPTION: Panthenol-Quat is a quaternized (cationic) derivative of Panthenol/Vitamin B5 with superior skin and hair conditioning. Due to its quaternized nature, it adheres to the skin and hair, making it especially effective in rinse-off applications.

Panthenol-Quat enables the formulation of high-performance shampoos, conditioners, styling aids and treatments. It provides better adsorption and conditioning to the hair than Panthenol. Panthenol-quat improves antistatic ability, and gloss and leaves a soft after-feeling on both hair and skin. It has been proven to control frizz in high humidity after 24 hours. Panthenol-quat instantly improves manageability without causing buildup. Unlike Panthenol which negatively affects foam, Panthenol-quat boosts foam in shampoos. Tested on African-American hair without build-up. A comparison of Panthenyl Hydroxypropyl Steardimonium Chloride 0.3% with D-Panthenol 1.0% was conducted on real human hair. It was discovered that the ability to adhere to hair was significantly better with Panthenyl Hydroxypropyl Steardimonium Chloride than with D-Panthenol (Vitamin B5).
