DESCRIPTION: Seaweed Sugar-Quat is a unique and innovative, naturally-derived ingredient from renewable sources. Derived from polymerized alkyl polyglucoside and trehalose – a sugar extracted from seaweed. It is much milder for eyes and skin compared to many traditional quaternary. The process yields a product that is naturally derived and cationic in character. It has a very low irritation profile, gives superior conditioning and is a skin-feel modifier. It leaves no greasy build-up, offers excellent wet combing properties and controls flyaways.

Seaweed sSugar-quat gives formulations the unique softness of silicones with excellent smoothness. Seaweed Sugar-quat protects the skin from dehydration even in extremely dry conditions.

Seaweed Sugar-quat is unique in that it offers anti-oxidant properties, helping to preserve skin’s youthfulness and preventing the rancid smell of oils in emulsions. It has a unique moisture-retaining ability on both skin and hair by attracting water and locking it to the surface of the hair of the skin due to its natural cationic nature. It also serves as a feel modifier, imparting a nice slip and adding an emollient skin feel

INCI: Trehalose (and) Quarternium-80 (and) Water

Solubility: Water

Use Rate: 0.5 – 7.0%

Temperature Tolerance: Avoid temperatures above 60°C

pH Stability Range: 3.5 – 8.0

Charge: Mild Cationic (can be used with anionic surfactants)

Appearance: Clear viscous liquid

Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place.
