DESCRIPTION: Active Lipid-Shield is a powerful synthetic antioxidant that protects actives from yellowing and oxidizing. It also helps protect the skin from oxidative damage and signs of photoaging. Add Active-Shield Pro to your formula if you need consistency and stability with photo-sensitive actives.
In skincare, it forms a layer on the skin to protect it from free radicals and sun damage. In formulations, it stabilizes other ingredients, preventing any unwanted changes in colour and helping them retain their original colour.
Active Lipid-Shield is mild enough to be used in lip products and toothpastes, (mucous membranes)
DIFFERENCE BETWEEN Active-Shield and Active Lipid-Shield
Active-Shield Is water soluble and is preferred for protecting water-soluble products like Alpha Arbutin, etc
Active Lipid-Shield for protecting oil-soluble actives and other ingredients from lipid degradation. Ingredients such as vitamin A, Bakuchiol, Symwhite, deoxyarbutin, essential oils, fragrances, etc.
Active-Shield and Active Lipid-Shield work synergistically to protect both the oil phase and the water phase of your formula – stabilizing both water-soluble and oil-soluble ingredients.

HOW TO USE
INCI: Pentaerythrityl Tetradibutyl hydro-hydro cinnamate.
Solubility: Heated oil
Use rate: 0.01 – 0.5% (0.3% max for leave-on products and 0.5% max for rinse-off products.
Recommended use rate: 0.01% is adequate for general formulas, and 0.05% for formulas with sensitive ingredients)
Temperature Tolerance: Avoid temperatures above 80°C.
Appearance: White powder
Storage: Store in a cool, dark and dry place.
