DESCRIPTION: Alkyl Benzoate (C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate) is a versatile emollient ester with a light skin feel, solvency abilities and shine properties. It can be used to improve the feel, softness, and texture of skin formulations. It is known to give light conditioning effects and to give a silky, non-oily finish to skin care products.
C12-15 alkyl benzoate offers semi-occlusive properties that help retain the skin’s moisture level over a longer period. It significantly boosts the UVA and UVB absorbance of sunscreens without diminishing their critical wavelength. This means it boosts SPF but also provides greater broad-spectrum protection in combination with some sunscreens, and reduces static electricity. Alkyl Benzoate is extremely mild on the skin and eyes. Helps reduce the greasiness in formulations.

Use rate: up to 20.0% (In regular creams and lotions: 2.0 – 5.0% recommended)
Temperature Tolerance: Avoid temperatures above 80ºC.

Appearance: Colorless to pale yellow clear liquid
Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place
