DESCRIPTION: Lauric acid is an emollient thickener derived from renewable vegetable oils. It is a thickener, co-emulsifier, and lipid layer enhancer. It also acts as a superfatting agent and opacifier when neutralized. It is used as a cleansing agent in haircare and skincare formulations. It s used a lot in soap manufacturing – especially when making transparent soaps.

It also has antimicrobial properties, making it an additive with anti-acne benefits. It prevents the proliferation of the p.acne bacteria. It also reduces inflammation from acne
