DESCRIPTION: Guar Gum is a non-ionic thickening agent with a high viscosity and fine granulation. It works as a rheology modifier and an emulsion stabilizer in various multi-phase formulations. Forms slightly opaque to transparent solutions concentration dependent. Has a wide pH range and can be used synergistically with other colloids like Xanthan gum.
FEATURES
- Rheology modification
- Emulsion stabilizer
- Low viscosity modification
- Broad pH range
- Water-solubility, strong water absorption
APPLICATIONS: Can be used in lotions, creams, conditioners, etc.
HOW TO USE
INCI: Cyamopsis Tetragonoloba (Guar) Gum
Solubility: Water dispersible (For best results, make a slurry in a humectant before adding to water)
Use rate: 0.2 – 2.0
Temperature tolerance: Avoid temperatures above °C
pH Stability: 1.0 – 10.5 (Guar gum is nonionic, however, viscosity tends to decrease when the pH value increases. High acid content can cause guar gum to lose its thickening properties)
Shear Sensitivity: Low-to-high shear compatible
Charge: Non-ionic
Appearance: Beige-coloured free-flowing powder
Assay: 100%
Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place
