DESCRIPTION: Titanium Dioxide (non-treated) is used in cosmetics as a pigment and sunscreen additive. It has a high refractive index, which makes it a strong UV light absorber. It is derived from the naturally occurring mineral ilmenite. It displays a superior ability to protect the skin from ultraviolet rays. Titanium is used as an opacifier and to whiten the appearance of cosmetics such as soaps.

HOW TO USE

INCI: Titanium Dioxide

Solubility: Dispersible in water, oil, or a solubilizer

Use Rate: 1.0 – 25.0

Temperature Tolerance: Avoid temperatures above 85°C

Appearance: White powder

Particle size: 250nm range

Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place.
