DESCRIPTION: Biogum-1 (Biosaccharide Gum-1) is a versatile and highly effective ingredient for enhancing the moisturising, soothing, and protective properties of cosmetic products. Biosaccharide Gum-1 is a naturally derived, high molecular weight polysaccharide produced by bacterial fermentation. It is commonly obtained from sorbitol through fermentation. Its mechanism of action is based on its ability to form a continuous, protective, and non-occlusive film on the skin’s surface. This film helps to reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL) by acting as a barrier, thereby improving skin hydration. Provide immediate and long-lasting moisturisation due to its humectant properties. Biosaccharide gum-1 delivers a soothing effect by reducing skin discomfort, irritation, and sensations of tightness, making it suitable for sensitive skin. It also offers sensory enhancement in formulations, imparting a silky, smooth feel and improving product spreadability.
