DESCRIPTION: It is effective against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection. It is weak mould and yeast so another preservative needs to be added for broad-spectrum activity.
Phenoxyethanol is inactivated by highly ethoxylated compounds. In surfactant formulas, the water must be saturated with Phenoxyethanol for effectiveness – add this to a solubilizer before dispersing in water.
