Pro-xylane is a sugar protein molecule derived from the sugar xylose found in birch and beechwood. It supports the skin’s extracellular matrix and restores water to the skin. Its mechanism of activity is to promote the skin’s production of collagen and natural moisturising factors such as Hyaluronic acid. It also acts on pigment marks to brighten and even out the skin’s tone.
It is effective with deep wrinkles, helping to restore and support tissue density. Reduces sagging skin, neck folds, and nasolabial folds. It smoothens and corrects uneven skin tone. It helps repair damaged skin. It promotes the production of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which results in faster wound healing, moisturising effect and skin health. In addition, it improves the structure of the dermal epidermal junction (DEJ) by boosting production of Type I, III, IV and VII collagen.. It also up-regulates type I procollagen and fibrillin protein-1, which are key to maintaining skin elasticity and firmness.

Research
In one study, it was found that Pro-xylane reduced Sagging Skin by 8-12%; Neck Folds by 10-13%; Nasolabial folds (folds around the mouth) by 8-11%, and Increased Skin Firmness by 30-35%. It also increased Skin Radiance by 42-54%; improved complexion Evenness by 26-33%, and reduced Skin Dryness by 48-55%.
