DESCRIPTION: Bright-Pep 30 is a peptide with multiple mechanisms of activity including skin lightening, anti-ageing, and anti-inflammatory. It can be used in serums, toners, gels, lotions, creams, and masks. It is an excellent skin brightener and skin lightener, preventing melanin production. It is effective on PIH, Melasma, spot lightening and evening skin tone.
Mechanism of Activity: It reduces tyrosine levels, inhibits melanocyte activation via α-MSH competitive inhibition, and inhibits pigment transfer to keratinocyte cells. In a double-blind study conducted on Fitzpatrick skin types V-VI, Bright-Pep 30 (tetrapeptide-30) showed skin-lightening benefits on skin discolouration from melasma and postinflammatory hyperpigmentation, with significant results after 12 weeks against the vehicle. It works synergistically with nonapeptide-1 and other peptides.
