DESCRIPTION: Z-White (Formerly named Z-Bright) is a cosmetic agent with skin-beautifying benefits in skin lightening and anti-oxidant protection. It inhibits melanogenesis and triggered metallothionein expression. It also reduces oxidative stress which leads to premature ageing and other undesirable skin conditions. In a study, Z-White reduced melanin production by 75%. Z-White suppresses melanocyte proliferation very similar to the way Sepiwhite MSH does. In addition, it also stimulates the production of a natural endogenous antioxidant peptide – metallothionein. Metallothionein helps inhibit the secretion of various melanocyte growth and activating factors produced by the keratinocyte cells. The inhibition of Melanocyte activating factors such as endothelin-1 with UV and the prevention of melanocyte proliferation inhibits the production of melanin.
