DESCRIPTION: Soy Lecithin Liquid s a high-purity grade – unbleached and degummed extraction of soy lecithin through special purification. It does not contain residual impurities found in regular soy. The resulting product is pure, yellowish-amber liquid. Soy lecithin is a complex combination of diglycerides of fatty acids linked to phosphoric acid ester.
In skincare, it helps improve the texture of products as well as the skin. It’s an emollient that has skin penetration properties because of its natural affinity to the skin. The addition of lecithin to cosmetic products improves skin absorption power. It softens the skin and boosts its natural barrier properties, helping to inhibit transepidermal water loss. It’s a fantastic addition to lip balms – it gives a silky rich texture. It also aids in emulsification, helping to improve the stability of emulsified products. Lecithin contains vitamin E, bringing an anti-oxidant quality to formulations. It also has humectant properties which is fantastic in anhydrous products. Lecithin is a liquid emulsifier – it will not thicken your emulsion. You need other thickeners to thicken it. Lecithin is naturally yellow and come unbleached. Depending on your concentration, it could colour your emulsions.

HOW TO USE
INCI: Soy Lecithin
Solubility: Oil-soluble (Include in the heated phase)
Use rate: 0.1 – 1.5% recommended for leave-on general skincare products. Up to 5.0% recommended in lip balms. (The CIR recommends 15% maximum or less in leave-on products)
Temperature Tolerance: Avoid temperatures above 80°C.
Charge: Non-ionic
HLB: 4 approx
Appearance: Clear, yellowish amber-colored viscous liquid with typical scent.
Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place.
