DESCRIPTION: Vitamin D3 oil is of benefit in cosmetic applications because of its benefits as a skin soothing and anti-inflammatory vitamin. It elevates the skin’s vitamin D3 levels and therefore its protective properties. When the skin has enough vitamin D, it prevents the occurrence of autoimmune skin conditions, such as eczema, psoriasis, and rosacea. Research shows topical supplementation of Vitamin D3 can block the inflammatory process of psoriasis, making it an effective treatment. As a lipo-soluble vitamin, its absorption rate is ideal.

Vitamin D promotes skin cell longevity by activating the youth hormone – klotho. It helps the skin resist oxidative stress. It influences the differentiation of keratinocytes, and proper maintenance of calcium gradients in the skin, Stimulates the synthesis of antimicrobial peptides and boosts the skin’s natural protection against UVB radiation. Several studies also point to it normalizing skin color in vitiligo.
