DESCRIPTION: Silicone-Velvet Mix is a blend of Cyclopentasiloxane, Cyclopentasiloxane, and ultra-high viscosity dimethiconol fluid. It contains a high percentage of dimethiconol fluid (13%) which makes it substantiative on both skin and hair. The Cyclomethicone is blended to prevent freezing and dimethiconol maintains a pourable product.
It provides a soft skin feel and conditioning from hair care products. It is incorporated into skin-care products to provide water repellence and a durable film, with an exceptional spreading property. It imparts a velvety skin feel and de-tackifies greasy formulations. In hair care, it is particularly beneficial for split ends. And its film-forming properties enhance breathable protection for the hair.
