DESCRIPTION: Cream Maker SSL (Sodium Stearoyl Lactylate) is a natural, multifunctional emulsifier with excellent moisturizing and skin conditioning benefits. It functions as a co-emulsifier (anionic), boosting the stability of emulsions. This is especially essential when using high-polarity oils.
Cream Maker SSL can also function as a co-surfactant due to its high HLB value. Therefore, it is highly priced when making crème cleansers since it provides a mild cleaning effect. It can also improve the foaming capacity of other surfactants.
Cream Maker SSL can also be added to cleansing products as it helps improve their viscosity and flow. Cream Maker SSL is a mild anionic emulsifier that leads to smoother skin with reduced irritation compared to other anionic emulsifiers. It helps retain the skin’s amino acid layer, since if washed away only a small portion when used in cleansing products.
