DESCRIPTION: Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate (or Sodium Cocoyl Methyl Taurate) is a gentle surfactant priced for its very mild, moisturizing, and skin-feel properties. It is a fantastic substitute for sulfates for its effectiveness, and silicones, for their superior soft, after-skin feel. It is pH friendly, which makes it a perfect match for sensitive skin, such as babies, acne and rosacea, etc. It provides outstanding detergency, wetting, and a rich creamy foam. It is an easy-to-formulate paste that is both cold and hot processible.

It boosts foam at all pH levels and shows excellent compatibility with other soap bases or anionic surfactants. Allows easy rinsing due to its excellent foaming capacity, providing a soft and refreshing skin feel. Performs well in hard water

HOW TO USE

INCI: Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate

Solubility: Water

Use rate: 3.0 – 30.0% (Recommended rates: Main surfactant: 15.0 – 30.0 Auxiliary surfactant: 1.0 – 15.0%).

Temperature Tolerance: Avoid temperatures above 80°C. Where clarity is paramount, heat Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate in water or surfactant phases lightly.

pH Stability: 30 – 11.0 (Produces the most foam when formulated with a pH of 6.3

Appearance: White paste

Storage:  Store in a cool, dark, and dry place. Recommended storage: room temperature. The product may require stirring when removing portions of the product from the storage container. If stored at temperatures below room temperature, separation can occur. If separation occurs, heat the whole. container to 45-50 °C until the product is fully molten and stir until homogenous. Cooled down to 20-25 °C the paste will form again.
