DESCRIPTION: Xanthan Gum – Clear Thix is a high-purity natural polysaccharide gum that produces clear formulations. It is produced by natural fermentation. It thickens and helps stabilize emulsions. At very low concentrations (0.1 – 0.2), Xanthan gum can sufficiently increase viscosity in formulations needing stability.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN XANTHAN GUM CLEAR AND XANTHAN GUM – CLEAR THIX
Xanthan Gum Clear Thix produces about twice the thickness of Xanthan Gum Clear at the same concentration. If you’re trying to replace Xanthan Gum – Clear with Xanthan Gum Clear-Thix, we suggest you start out with a small sample, using half the concentration required for Xanthan Gum – Clear
HOW TO USE
INCI: Xanthan Gum
Use rate: 0.1 – 1.0% (Can be used above 1%, however, it may prove too thick for anything practical).
Solubility: Water (Add first to glycerin to make a slurry before adding to the aqueous phase. This helps prevent clumping. Alternatively, in an emulsion system, Xanthan Gum – clear can be added to the oil phase).
Viscosity: Comes in a range between 1500 – 1700. (Although the range may not be easily distinguishable, always retest new batches to confirm suitability to formula).
pH Stability: <7.0
Appearance: Off-white powder
Storage: Store in a cool, dark, and dry place
